Anderson v1 pg372-373 - letter #371

                                                          P.P.

Most politely do I request you to lend me just for today the two trios for piano, violin and violoncello which I have composed [Opus 70]. The first is in D major, the second in Eb major. If I remember rightly, His Imperial Highness has copies of these works in his library – Further, the sonata in A major for piano and violoncello which was engraved separately [Opus 69] – and also the sonata in A minor for piano and violin, which was also engraved separately [Anderson footnote: “Probably Op. 47, the Kreutzer sonata, which begins in A major but soon drops into A minor.”] –– You will have all these works back tomorrow morning ––

                                                                       Your devoted servant
